This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website. It applies to Kosta & Sons Plumbing & Drainage Pty Ltd (ABN 35 633 989 018), which trades as Kosta & Sons Excavation. Kosta & Sons Excavation is the brand name; the legal entity named above is the party responsible for the information described here.

What We Collect

When you submit the quote form or the contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number, site address, chosen service and message you enter. We collect this so we can respond to your enquiry and quote the work. We do not ask for payment details through this website, and you should never send them to us by email.

Our web server also records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. This is ordinary server activity and is not used to identify you personally.

How We Use It

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a site visit and carry out any work you engage us for. We may keep a record of the enquiry for our own business records. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing to you unless you have asked us to.

If you enter your email address in the signup form in our footer, we use it only to send you the occasional update about our work. You can ask us to remove you at any time by replying to one of those emails or by writing to the address at the bottom of this page, and we will do it.

Third Parties We Use

A small number of external services help this website run. Each one may receive some information about your visit:

• Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager measure how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and for how long. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
• Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through the site, such as scrolling and clicks, so we can see which parts are confusing and fix them. Clarity masks text input by default, so what you type into a form is not captured.
• CleanTalk checks form submissions for spam. To do that it receives the contents of the submission along with your IP address and browser details.
• Google Maps supplies the map on our contact page. Loading it means Google may set cookies. The customer reviews shown on our homepage are quoted as plain text from our Google Business Profile, so no review widget or third party code is loaded to display them.
• WhatsApp is linked from the floating button. We do not load any WhatsApp code on this site. The link simply opens WhatsApp if you choose to use it, and any conversation there is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
• RB2B is a visitor identification service. Unlike the analytics above, it attempts to work out who an individual visitor is, rather than only counting visits. It does this by matching your IP address, device details and cookies against data it holds from other sources, and where it finds a match it may tell us your name, job title and employer. RB2B performs this person level matching only for visitors it verifies as being in the United States. For visitors elsewhere, including Australia, it may still identify the organisation a visit came from where it is confident, but it does not identify you personally. If you would rather not be matched, blocking cookies in your browser or using a private browsing window will prevent it, and you can contact us at the address at the bottom of this page to ask us to delete anything we hold about your visit.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cookies you may encounter come from the third parties listed above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you using the site or contacting us.

Keeping It Secure

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are sent encrypted. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Access, Correction and Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

What You Own

Your domain name, your website content and your analytics accounts remain yours. Hosting arrangements can vary and are set out separately from this policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always sits at this address, with the date it was last updated shown near the top.
